We are looking for experienced candidates to join our teams at branches across the UK! An entrepreneurial mindset is what we are looking for; the ability to come on board, bring accounts and generate new business. The right candidate should be able to cost, quote and operate their cargo with suppliers of their choice. Mainly office based the focus initially will be on bringing in accounts and as time goes on slowly moving over to maintaining relationships with your client base. We believe our Freight Account Managers bonus structure is unique, as it is clear, open, and uncapped. You will earn on every £ of profit you generate!

The Candidate:

  • Freight Forwarding experience essential (Air, Sea, Land and Abnormal)
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, self-motivated
  • Minimum 2 years' experience within a similar Freight Forwarding role
  • Knowledge of Import & Export procedures / processes
  • Proven experience of rate negotiation with both clients and third parties
  • Have a portfolio of client leads
  • Proven sales target
  • Strong commercials skills and business acumen are necessary as is the ability to identify and maximise opportunities
  • Competent decision making
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cold calling, lead generation & customer appointments
  • Maintain and develop your existing accounts
  • Knowledge of your own hauliers will be a great advantage
  • Process bookings from customer by phone/email
  • Handle the coordination of freight (Land, Air or Sea)
  • Handle all operational aspects of import and export movements
  • Request customs clearance of both export and import shipments via our in-house customs team
  • Build and maintain a good working relationship with customers and suppliers
  • Liaise with all relevant parties to ensure that expectations are met during the movement of cargo
